In order, to get the authentic information, about coronavirus, do read this article till the end.

Before, we discuss about coronavirus. It is more important to have basic knowledge about the virus.

What are the viruses?

Viruses are basically a large family of acellular means, they don’t contain any cell. All viruses act like zombies. Do you know why viruses act like zombies? It is because of their habitat. They are dead outside the host body, but once they enter inside any living host body such as animals and humans, they become alive and their mechanism to assail human cells becomes active.

Now, the real question comes,

Is the coronavirus, the same as the common viruses?

Coronavirus is also a huge family of viruses, which cause illness ailment in animals or humans. Coronavirus, not the first source that is causing

the respiratory problems in humans varying from the common cold to serve disease. There have been other viruses too which has caused airways infections such as(MERS) Middle East Respiratory Syndrome and (SARS) Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The recent virus is known as Coronavirus Disease also as COVID-19.

What is COVID-19?

CO stands for Corona, VI stands for Virus, and D primarily stands for Disease. This disease is known as novel coronavirus because it is a new type of virus that is causing airways difficulties. Do you know why 19 is attached to it? It is because its outbreak spread to began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China.

How COVID-19 spreads?

The point of origin of this virus was from animals to humans but now it is spreading from person to person.

How it is spreading from person to person?

The main source of spreading is through indirect contact. It means when an infected person opens his/her mouth while coughing, sneezing and talking the droplets which are coming out from his nose and mouth are too heavy to be carried by air so, it quickly sinks downwards to the grounds and surfaces around the person such as doorknobs, hand drills, tables. The unique property of this virus is that it can survive for hours on different mediums like (copper, cardboard). People can be infected by touching these containment objects with a virus around them when they will touch their nose, mouth, or eyes.

This virus can also be spread through inhaling while having close contact with the infected person so, it is important to maintain a minimum of 1-meter distance from people.

How to know whether a person is infected or not?

The cycle of infection may begin one to two days before signs appear but people are likely maximum infectious all through the symptomatic phase, even if symptoms are slightly and really nonspecific. The infectious duration is now predicted to ultimate for 7-12 days in moderate cases and up to two weeks on average in intense cases.

Which age group people are most likely at risk to be affected by COVID-19?

This is a newly discovered virus and still, the investigation is going on. However, still, it is not fully discovered which is the age group is most likely to be affected by COVID-19. But, according to the doctor and medical research team, aged people of 70+ age and young children are likely to be affected by COVID-19 as their immune system is weak and they are unable to recuperate fast.

Moreover, with underlying health disease (hypertension, diabetes, asthma) are also likely to be at risk of COVID-19. In this case, the men group is slightly more at risk than the female group.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

covid 19 symptoms

The best way in this is to self-quarantine yourself which means to partitioned yourself from others since you have

got been uncovered to somebody with COVID-19 indeed in spite of the

fact that you, yourself, don’t have side effects. Amid self-quarantine, you screen yourself for indications. The objective of the self-quarantine people anticipate transmission. Since individuals who gotten to

be sick with COVID-19 can contaminate individuals quickly shift to self – quarantine to avoid a few contaminations from happening.

How to do self-quarantine?

Many people are confused about self-quarantine, self-isolation, and physical distancing terminologies. So, let’s discuss them one by one as it is important to know the difference between them.

Self -Quarantine

Quarantine means to narrow down the activities and partitioned yourself from people who are not ill themselves but might be exposed to COVID-19. A self-quarantine motive is to prevent the disease at the early stage of symptoms.

Self-Isolation

Isolation means to avoid those people who are affected by COVID-19 and can become the source of spreading the disease.

Physical Distancing
